Land UseUtilize 3,362 hectares in Madhya Pradesh without displacing villages or requiring rehabilitation.
Irrigation Targets<br>- Madhya Pradesh: 1,23,082 hectares in Burhanpur and Khandwa <br>- Maharashtra: 2,34,706 hectares in Jalgaon, Akola, Buldhana, Amravati, and Nagpur.

About Tapi RiverOne of the three major westward-flowing rivers in India (others: Narmada and Mahi). <br>Originates from Gawilgarh Hills, Madhya Pradesh.
Basin AreaCovers 65,145 sq.km (2% of India's area) across Maharashtra (51,504 sq.km), Madhya Pradesh (9,804 sq.km), and Gujarat (3,837 sq.km).
Geographical Boundaries<br>- North: Satpura Range <br>- East: Mahadev Hills <br>- South: Ajanta Range and Satmala Hills <br>- West: Arabian Sea.
Major TributariesPurna, Girna, and Panjhra (all originate in Maharashtra).
