Maharishi Dadhichi- Great ascetic, knower of Vedas and scriptures, philanthropist.<br>- Son of sage Atharva and mother Shanti.<br>- Devoted his life to Shiva and welfare of people.<br>- Gave up his body by the power of yoga for the gods to kill the demon Vritrasura.
Naimisharanya- Ancient pilgrimage site on the banks of river Gomti.<br>- Place of penance for sages.<br>- Believed that 88,000 sages performed penance here, making it a holy site in Hinduism.
